Over 1000 updates from the Dragonfly database (the CMS that ran the site before I moved to Joomla).
Apparently at some point the post dates got fucked, but I anal-retentively went through and pulled dates (a couple are approximate) from a SQL dump from 2009. At least that should fix the order. Really, I should manage to figure out how to reverse the order on all these super-ancient posts so they read more intelligently.
Whats this? No holiday and no traveling? What am I going to do with myself?
I can tell you one thing – Im definitely going to relax. And do laundry. And work on my audio system. And tend my tomatoes. And drink wine. And finish “Jedi”. And see a movie in the theatre. Its going to be epic.
Its Krols birthday today, and even though I dont really do “happy birthday” posts anymore, itd be silly to post here today and not wish one on him, right? I mean, the guy is finally 32. Hes twice as powerful as a 16-year-old, and thats pretty awesome. Enjoy it, Krol – next year you find out if youre Jesus.

Amazing technology for a website thats “only” in its ninth year. Its almost time for a redesign, wouldnt you say? Ive been toying with ideas for a long time, but havent really done anything about it because im too dumb to do the coding myself and too poor (or disinclined, at any rate) to hire someone. I think its time to change my thinking on one of those things and either hire someone or smarten up. I dont want to lose everything, but I also dont want to be locked to this stalled software platform anymore.
Thats enough geeky talk. Time to go test my new audio setup and make sure everythings hooked up correctly. Then I get to spend hours programming my Harmony Remote. Woo! Ill be posting impressions soon.
the 4th was fun. Of course it was, what with squishing five girls into my car for the long drive to Hermosa Beach, where Tampa Bay hosted us on the beach and in his house.
MJs Memorial yesterday was nice – I kinda like not hearing any commentary, not seeing any celebrities, and not knowing anything thats going on outside. It was a nice little insular moment for me and keeping the hoopla away made it feel that much nicer. Religious folks still creep me out, but I liked the coordinating yellows (how did people know, and why wasnt I notified?) and the heartfelt stories. Brooke Shields: “I was like, Whats with the glove?” Nice.

These are my two tomato plants. Theyre not getting enough sun, but theyre still growing. The lighter and bigger one on the right is the beefmaster, and its replete with tomatoes. The smaller is the celebrity type. I bought it knowing that it wouldnt measure up to the beefmaster, but this is Hollywood, and a little celebrity at your house goes a long way.
I think the sun issue is really going to be the defining factor here, because Caseys tomato plane is also a celebrity, I think, and its almost as big as the beefmaster. Almost. Theres a bigger picture of those things after the jump, in case youre interested in getting a little more detail (not a lot, because the pic is still small).
In other news, Im still not going to the UK, and my passport is still expiring in July. PCW, LLC paperwork is still outstanding (as in not here, not as in above-and-beyond), but its on its way. Ill probably check my PO Box today for the first time. Awesome.
Normally, the most exciting thing I could post on this site today would be about the purchase of my brand-new Palm Pre and about how excited I am for it, but today, things are a little different. Today I have something actually exciting to report.

Now, Im not so sure what my NDA allows me to say, but for those of you who have been following my various entrepreneurial ventures over the past year or so can rightly guess. I mean, the man is in rehearsals for his shows in London, afterall. Thats not top-secret or anything.
Anyway, Im super, super, super psyched, both for the way that this company is (finally) getting off the ground and for me personally, because Im going to get to spend plenty of time in the presence of the King of Pop over the next couple of weeks. Effin rad.

This is my favorite outfit in the world. maybe ever. You have to give it up for a bikini-hooded girl. This shot came from the absurd Fanny Pak shoe release party last night at Level3. Level3 turned out to be an 18-and-over club, which means that we were definitely sharing the dance floor with kids born in 1991. The year I went to high school. Maybe Im too old for clubs now? Pshaw.
