So
today I finally took my own advice and culled some pics from the herd
and took exactly 200 pictures all over town looking for a drug store or
other photo place with a working digital camera printer. I found
one that was theoretically working and now Im waiting on a call that
will tell me that the pics are ready, although theres a good chance
that the glitch in the system that was worrying the girl is still there
and that my pictures will never print. Annoying! Ah well.
Anyway, the pic on the left is my collage, finally mounted to my
wall. I figured that with the two months I have left here I could
leave it on the floor making a mess of everthing and being generally
big and in the way, or I could put it up and enjoy it while I still
have the space. Theres no plexi on it yet, but I maintain that
it still needs some work. In the Read More link below are two larger pics that show it on the wall above the couch.
In those pics, youll see mounds of laundry that I did during my
late-night clean fest last night. I stayed in to recoup from my
Thursday escapades and managed to get myself involved in a cleaning
frenzy. I put away bills, vaccuumed everything in sight (and this
morning, I even vaccuumed under the rug to get the grit that
had settled out of the carpets backing), and washed tons of
laundry. I even replaced a light bulb. In the dark.
Well, not total dark – I was dragging one of my halogen worklights with
me everywhere to light my cleaning efforts. Today, I went to the
bank to deposit some money (always a good feeling), ate lunch with a
friend that I havent seen in a million years and chased down a place
for my pictures, with plenty of walking. Tonight is supposed to
be some celebratory evening, but, as per usual, no one answers when I
call, and everyone is unlikely to call me back. Its a strange
pattern, this much I know.
Tomorrow I can go to the hill though and to the farmers market, both
things that make me happy. I can come home to my clean room and
be happy that its here and clean. Tomorrow Im also likely to
replace the bulbs in the outdoor light because what the hell,
right? Why not. Maybe Ill even coerce someone into going with me
to Howl at the Moon tomorrow night. Nothing like being tired on a
Monday morning!
