Sometimes, youve gotta know when enough is enough, and now is one of those times. I think its officially time to retire the nascent McNamee project before it actually gets off the ground. Putting too much effort into it at this point would be foolish, given the nature of the work and the general disposition of those invoived. Its a shame, too, because it was a totally do-able idea and a decent summertime project. Ah well.
In other news, the informational packets for JVS will go out tomorrow, and if Ive promised you one, expect to see something about the middle of next week. Ill have manilla envelopes for you. I have to go by Staples tomorrow AM and get more double-sided printer paper, as well as some bookends and 9×11 envelopes to send crap out in. It looks like the actual advertising mailings are going to be shipped after I return from California, though, because it almost doesnt make sense to advertise and then leave the state for two weeks.
It looks like Ill be doing SS tix from the road while Im away, which is either a blessing or a curse, depending on how you look at it. I mean, itll be good to get the cash while Im travelling, but hard to keep the tickets clear enough to make a difference and not cause too many waves. Well have to see how it goes because I think this will be a good test of my ability to hold the job during more difficult times. You know, should I ever get a job again. That may never happen, but….
