Twenty-five years ago today, I got my first sibling. Happy Birthday, Drew! I think this is the oldest picture I have of him (I hadnt yet gotten into photography, even at the advanced age of three), and its really from my moms collection. I figure most of you know what he looks like now, but how many know what he looked like more than 20 years ago?
Hes the one on the right. Do you miss his chubby cheeks now? I dont know the dorky-looking one on the left.
Yeah, so 25 is a lot of years. A quarter of the way to 100, you are, Drew – think about how much has changed just since you were born – the fall of communism, the rise of the Personal Computer, legwarmers came into style, went out, and even made a comeback a little bit. Youve lived through the reign of four presidents (with only three last names), the rise and fall of grunge as The Most Important Music Ever and the birth of a sister (which I know traumatizes you to this day). Happy Brithday, Drew. Congratulations on making it this far with such success, and I look forward to the next 25 being just as incredible.
And, remember, I used to be bigger than you. So let me beat you up once in a while.
Just for old times sake.
