I got in early this afternoon. I went to MWS and got some work done. I then met Emmanuel for dinner at Johns Pizza and a drink. His grad-school friend Lea met us. It was fun. Then I had to wait 30 minutes for the Stupid #1 train that turned out to be a #2 train, which went local to 34th street (from Christopher, so no big deal, but shit, after a 30 minute wait?). Then I took a shower again, because I thought I had a pretty good chance of passing out in that subway. I was on the verge of walking. Id have cabbed it much earlier, but I spent my cash on beers with the FrenchFolk. Frenchmen seems sexist. Is it?
Also, I was thinking as I walked around today, Id really like to get my dads opinion of Indian Guides. Like, as an adult now, Id like to know what my dad thought of it. Was it fun? Just something he tolerated because it was good for me? What were the other dads like? Normal guys? People that he liked fine in the moment but would never have chosen as friends?
Adult friendships are so weird. Now that Im supposed to have them, Im not sure how theyre supposed to work. Adults always make them seem so easy. Maybe thats because they dont talk to their friggin kids about them. Real adults dont blog (maybe).
Note to self – good title.
