On the 3rd Sunday of every June falls Fathers Day – a suitably random day for such an observance, I suppose. Today has me thinking not only about my father (of whom Im thinking often) but about all the fathers whose lives have influenced mine. Grandfathers, Uncles, friends fathers – these men all have had influence on me in one way or another. My recent tradition, as regulars here know, is to take today to consider the appreciation that I have for all the fathers in my life.
So thanks, guys. The fact that I am who I am and I like who I am is in no small part attributable to you. I dont miss my dad more today than yesterday or tomorrow, but I do try to consider my good fortune in having had such a great role model in him.
