Id be a lot more likely to give credence to Project Chanology (Anonymous?) if they didnt make such wide-ranging threats against such diverse targets. I mean, FOX News, Scientology and normal folks all fall under their banner of “things well destroy.” Look, I hate FOX, Scientology and normal people as much as any rational human being, but I draw the line way before we get to destruction. Lets just inconvenience em – maybe steal their taxis. Thats a threat I feel could be carried out.
How do you even start to destroy an ideology? Can I call Scientology a religion? I mean, Hitler had an army and an industrial complex dedicated to producing killing machines and failed to wipe out Jews despite his best efforts (aaaaaaaaaannd Godwins Law makes three) – how are these assholes going to wipe out Scientology? I hope they dont bomb Hollywood. Maybe they can just send hordes of dancing hamsters.
And what are the odds of getting caught? I mean, LonelyGirl15 got found out, right? And she was all low-pro for a long time. YouTube keeps records, right? Anonymous proxies arent always that anonymous, and besides, maybe the FBI will just hire Dog the Bounty Hunter. Also, they have those cats that are “in ur internets, exposin ur Chanologists.”
What happens if a rival internet gang gets involved and hacks 4chan? Where would the Chanology gang guys find their hentai and new recruits? Is it fair to assume that those two names are similar for a reason? I hear that hackers cant hack without at least one screen dedicated to porn at all times.
Okay, this whole post about Anonymous Chanologists has made me nervous (nervous that the tubes will burst from all the stupid references Ive crammed into this post). I also hope that they dont succeed (especially in destroying normal people – some of them are pretty cool!) Time to go make some iced tea. Happy Friday!
