since last I've updated, there's been a trip to Vegas (Monday through Wednesday), some ill-lit and hasty shooting, a brief talk at CSN that may be the start of a trend for PCW, the purchase of two of the oldest 1U servers still in working order, lots of computer nonsense, a little bit of wine drinking, lots of money spent and probably nothing really of note.
I saw in stark terms how much I have yet to do on myriad projects, and how much I have to learn, and for the first time (I think), I immediately thought of going to someone younger than me to show me how to do some tech crap because I don't really know how to do it and would rather be shown than teach myself. Nothing like being busy and old.
Oh, and I also flew to New York, where I sit in the Starbucks that is my early-morning home when I get here before the store opens. Fun times. I'd import video, but the battery on this thing (the vaunted, non-replaceable 10-hour battery, of course) only has a couple hours left, and doing anything strenuous would seriously limit that. Hell, I haven't even connected to the wireless yet because I don't believe my stupid MiFi will last 1.5 hours.
Anyway, maybe this time I'll shoot someone for my book. First of all, I have to call the hotel and ask about check-in. It's probably also time to research the way real people run their companies because whatever I'm doing isn't making much sense, nor is it working particularly well. Also not working well - this post. Sorry about that.
