Im doing the thing I do for Hipster Dave tonight, this time for Bette Midler and the USC Shaoh Foundation Institute. Honestly. Thats what its called - the Shaoh Foundation Institute. More than a Foundation, more than an Institute, its both. Amazing.
Ill update you later, but at the moment, Ive already been sitting 7 feet from Speilberg, Billy Crystal almost walked into me, and I will have the pleasure of singing "Whale of a Tale" under my breath at Kirk Douglas. Oh, and dont forget Bette. Im sure there will also be other folks here of note, but I may not see them, given my position next to the stage and behind the black curtain.
At least I can stare at the Harlettes.

Update: I didnt see any more celebs, so theres no one else to name drop, I guess. There was this guy who looked all sketch who got kicked out while we were wrapping up (better late than never, I say). It was weird, there was a group of stragglers to whom he was attached, and when security called his name and brought him aside for a minute, there was nary a ripple. It was as if the group hadnt even noticed that one of its own had been pulled out for questioning. I couldnt hear everything that was being said, but the gist was that he wasnt on the invite list and wasnt welcome as a crasher. Whatever, I was more interested in the bizarre non-reaction from the group.
