Merry Christmas!
It's Christmas again - we're reveling in holiday cheer here in beautiful, sunny Las Vegas.
I'm stuck in a bit of a debate with myself about whether to go home or stay here once the holiday is over, and I think you can help me with this decision. Do I stay and start my New Years' resolution of shooting more for BRANDED here and now, thereby committing myself to the process for real and for serious? Do I go home and relax (not that here will be anything but relaxing) and work on the photos I've already taken? Do I leave and do something else entirely?
Anyway, mostly I just want to wish you guys all a merry, happy and joyful christmas time with people you love (and make love to).

kinda feels like the new year already
Mostly because I'm already thinking about the things that'll be happening and that I have to do in the new year, but also partially because I'm actually working this week, which I find strange. I'm currently waiting for Windows Updates to install, which seems sort of strange, but there's a virus or something on there that I'm supposed to remove. We'll see if I can fix it.
Anyway, this is sort of an update about nothing, so I'll quit it, but I just wanted to get into the habit of writing a bit when I think of it. So happy unofficial new year.

NYC went by fast
I need a "work travel" section, it would appear.
Anyway, I'm home in LA, trying to get caught up on the things I've got to do (I'm looking at you, NetTheory) and cleaned up for the weekend, which promises to be a whirlwind of packing, running around, ridiculous drinking and other debaucherous stuff.
I only took product photos while I was in NYC, so I have nothing to show you (wait, that's a lie! See the photo rotator for a shot I took!), but I'll be better about that for the next update. Branded shoots have been happening, actually, so that's good!

Happy end-of-2011
I'll be happy to see this one end, if only because of my mood at the moment.
Soup week is around the corner, though, and that's more than enough incentive to get crackin' on the new year. Back to reading my book.

I'm in Michigan
I was supposed to be skiing Wednesday, Thursday and today, but after 3 hours of rainy skiing Wednesday and no skiing (or break from the rain) on Thursday, I awoke today to gray-but-dry-skies, a fresh inch of snow on the ground (the only inch we have here) and the slopes opening for business as usual. I only skied for about 5.5 hours today, but that's okay - I'm fat and out of shape and committed to getting more skiing in this winter, both with Casey AND with Drew. I'm even considering looking into doing a group ski thing up to Big Bear or Mountain High or whatever - we'll see.
Anyway, I just wanted to check in - it's been another long-ass time. Ann Arbor again tomorrow, then Cleveland. Back to Detroit (where I'd like to buy a house) on Monday, then to LA and business for the week before Christmas.

haven't been better about posting
The internet is out at the office, so what do I do?
Write a blog post!
Thanksgiving came and went with nary a mention (Happy Thanksgiving!), and Scott & Sharon spent the weekend (with Drew & April spending a couple of days as well), also with nary a mention. It was awesome having them all in town, and reminded me why I like having friends and knowing people.
Now I'm in New York, where it's in the 50's and cloudy, but at least they have Dunkin Donuts. I forgot to get one yesterday until I was walking home from the office sometime after 8, but it was still tasty. Might have to go get another this afternoon. I'm here for a couple more days yet, but if the internet doesn't come back soon, I may just change my flight and go home because I'm way too tired to not be working.
